How to Usage *67 on an Android or iPhone
To hide your number on the recipient’s phone, dial *67 followed by the number you want to call. For example, *675555555555.
This works even if the other person already has your number on their phone. Instead of displaying their number, the recipient will see a “Restricted,” “Blocked,” or “Private Number” type message.
*67 does not work when calling toll-free facts or backup figures.

How to Hide Your Numeral on an Android Phone
You can also use the Phone app setting to hide your number when using an Android phone:
- Tap the phone icon, which is usually located at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the three-dot blackboard at the top of the app, next to the search bar.
- Select “Settings”.
- Tap “Calls” or “Call Accounts” on some devices.
- Press Advanced Setup. If you don’t see it, first select your phone carrier.
- Click Call Subscriber ID.
- Tap the Hide number when the pop-out interface is displayed.
Note: Not all carriers support this feature. If you don’t have one, there are other ways to make your numeral secluded on Android.

How to Pelt Your Number on an iPhone
To hide your numeral when you use your iPhone, turn off the Show My Caller ID option in the Settings app.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Scroll down and select “Phone”.
- Under Calls, click Show My Caller ID.
- If the Show My Calling Subscriber ID button is green, tap it once to turn white (this is the off position). Your outgoing calls will now show up with the message “No Calling Subscriber ID” instead of your phone number.
Why Use *67?
It is now a common feature of most residential phones and virtually all mobile devices. AON provides us with the ability to track calls and avoid annoying friends or phone salespeople. The obvious downside to this feature is that call anonymity is now a thing of the past.

Fortunately, vertical service codes like *67 can be helpful if you need to call people you don’t necessarily want to return the call. For example, if you need to call a business client outside of business hours from your phone, you may not want them to have that number.
Just keep in mind that some people prefer to block hidden or private numbers automatically, and, in this case, your call will not go through if you use *67.
How to Use Other Popular Vertical Service Codes
The subsequent vertical service codes work with the most popular providers. Contact your phone company if a particular code is not working correctly.
*60: Provides the ability to block an exact number.
*66: Unceasingly dials a busy number until the line is released.
*69: This code is helpful for landlines that do not have caller ID. This code allows you to dial the last number that called you.
*70: Temporarily activates the call on hold.
*72: Call forwarding to another number.
*77: Enables anonymous call rejection, which allows incoming calls only from people who have reported their number.
